The wait is getting uncomfortable. New York's trucking industry has been lobbying since the spring opposing a proposed 45% Thruway toll hike on tractor trailer trucks.
The Thruway Authority pulled the plug on a meeting last Friday and now is expected to take up the matter Tuesday.
Steve Wadhams the owner of Wadhams Enterprises in Junius says that kind of a hike would cost his company half a million dollars a year. That cost will be get passed along to his customers. Wadhams says it's a bad time for increases.
