37th Great American Smokeout is Thursday

Thursday will mark the 37th year the Great American Smokeout will be celebrated in America. Helen Dunlap with the Tobacco Action Coalition of the Finger Lakes.

                                           

Dunlap says like quitting anything else, it sometimes helps to have a partner so you don't go it alone....

Tobacco use remains the single largest preventable cause of disease and premature death in the US, yet more than 45 million Americans still smoke cigarettes. However, more than half of these smokers have attempted to quit for at least one day in the past year.
