Fire Chases Oaks Corners Family From Home

NOON UPDATE: Fire damaged that huge green house at the corner of County Roads 6 and 23 in Oaks Corner this morning. A couple and their child escaped un harmed as smoke alarms went off. Oaks Corners Fire Chief Brian Maney tells us they called in help from the  Phelps, North Side, Geneva, Border City, White Springs, Seneca Castle and Clifton Springs Fire Departments . Maney says they had a lot to deal with.

Early thoughts point to the fire being caused by a first floor electrical problem. That matter is still under investigation. Meantime the Red Cross is looking after the family.

Fire damaged that huge green house at the corner of County Roads 6 and 23 in Oaks Corners this morning. The 2 and a half story wood frame home was built some time in the 1800's. A couple and their child escaped unharmed as smoke alarms went off. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

The Red Cross has been called in to help the family. Fire units from Oaks Corners, Phelps, North Side, Geneva, Border City, White Springs, Seneca Castle and Clifton Springs were called out. The fire started around six.
