The death of a 6 month old infant in Ithaca Tuesday is under investigation. Ithaca Police and Fire, along with Bang's Ambulance personnel were called to a South Geneva Street residence for the report of an infant not breathing yesterday. The baby was immediately taken to Cayuga Medical Center where he was pronounced dead a short time later. A forensic autopsy was performed by the Broome County Medical Examiner and foul play is not suspected at this point. The name of the infant and family are being withheld at this time.
