The Cayuga County Ways and Means Committee still discussing the 2013 budget. DA Jon Budelmann requesting additional money to promote a part-time investigator to full-time.
No vote in the legislature yet, but Budelmann says he'd like to see the money added just in case his investigator is approved. Budelmann asking for $23,000, but says no steps have been taken yet in his office to make the post full-time.
Next Tuesday the Legislature will vote on the final budget for the new year.
