Kolb Will Introduce A New Bill to Eliminate Thruway Authority

He is fed up with the New York State Thruway Authority and he is calling for big changes. Assemblyman Brian Kolb will introduce a bill called the Thruway Authority Accountability Act that will really shake things up. He wants to merge the Authority and the State Transportation Department. The bill calls for canning the current Authority Board members.

Kolb says a merger could lead to some significant cost savings.

The agency would have to undergo a strict forensic audit.

That audit would have to be made public.
