Retailers throughout the state reported their Black Friday weekend sales through the Retail Council of New York State's annual "Holiday Sales Watch," which monitors sales activity in stores between late November and early January. New Yorkers are still shopping, despite the damage from Hurricane Sandy. Council spokesperson Rebecca Flach says a lot of technology has popped up on the wish lists of kids this year.
