Wayne County authorities arrested eight people on drug charges after raiding a house Saturday in the town of Williamson.
The arrests resulted from a several months long investigation by the county’s Narcotics Enforcement Team into criminal sale of prescription drugs and crack cocaine.
When authorities entered 4129 Ridge Road No. 5 with a search warrant on Saturday, they interrupted several people weighing about 40 grams of crack.
Those arrested are:
46-year old Tracy L. Rendsland of Williamson.
17-year old Ava P. McGinnis of Williamson.
21-year old Alchimist “Al” McKinnon, 21of Williamson.
19-year old Durville Delshown Peterson of Williamson.
18-year old Akeem V. Simon, 18 of Williamson.
20-year old Jawuan T. Thomas, 20, of Clyde.
21-year old Jamaal E. Moody, of Lyons.
20-year old Shameika Brown, of Rochester.
All were arraigned on felony charges of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and remanded to jail.
The investigation is ongoing and more charges are expected.
