A Broome County woman has been arrested after police found $14,000 worth of cocaine in her home, and kept it within reach of a child. Police arrested Theresa Sunderland, whose home doubles as a daycare center, Mother Theresa's Daycare.
A special investigations task force raided her Johnson City home Thursday and found five ounces of both powder and crack cocaine, cash, and a digital scale.
Police say the amount of drugs in the house had a street value of more than $14,000.
Sunderland is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance as well as endangering the welfare of a child. She was arraigned and sent to Broome County Jail.
