Hot Diggity Dog! "Bark Park" A Possibility In Geneva

The former playground near the Geneva Recreation Complex could become a dog park, or as some call it, a "Bark Park." City Recreational Director Janelle Drach says the area would be fenced in and the dogs could be off-leash. A community member, Irene Canario, submitted the idea of a dog park in the city's new Civic Innovation Hub. Some city council members, along with Janelle, met with Irene and talked about what the ultimate goal was.

She says the park would be good for dogs and their owners.

Drach says it's a pretty simple design.

A presentation on the dog park is planned for the Feb 6th council meeting. They hope the park will be open the summer of 2014.
