Corning Incorporated fourth quarter for 2012 reflects the largest quarterly sales in the company's history.
The Southern Tier's largest employer's sales reached 2.15 billion dollars. That's a 14 percent increase from the fourth quarter of 2011. Earnings per share, at 34 cents excluding special items, represents the company’s first year-over-year improvement since 2010.
Sales for the full year totaled $8.01 billion, a 2 percent increase over last year’s $7.9 billion, while earnings per share, excluding special items, were $1.29, compared to last year’s $1.76.
