Geneva City Council Ratifies 3 Year Pact With Police Commanders

The Geneva City Council has ratified a new three year contract for the 8 person Police Department Command staff, that's everyone Sergeants and above. The deal is retro active to the first of the year and runs through the end of 2015.

Geneva City Manager Matt Horn says the City offered the unit two options, raises or maintain your health care package.

The pact includes 1.5% salary hikes in 2014 and 2015. There would be none this year. The once a year command officers stipend would go up 2-thousand dollars to a total 5 thousand a year payable each March.
