The Ontario County Grand Jury has indicted a Stanley woman for allegedly killing her husband and then hacking up his corpse and burning his remains to cover up the death.
In court Friday, Rose Chase pled not guilty to second-degree murder, tampering with evidence, and endangering the welfare of a child.
Investigators say she killed her husband, Adam, by pushing him down a flight of stairs. Authorities say Rose Chase dumped the remains on property her mother owns near Potter in Yates County.
Adam Chase was reported missing in June and his remains were discovered in December.
His family has always suspected foul play in the case.
