Auburn Police: Attempted Robbery at McDonalds on Saturday

Auburn Police report an attempted armed robbery at the McDonalds on Genesee Street Saturday evening. Police say a white man in a hooded sweatshirt with an orange bandana covering the bottom of his face demanded money from the drive-thru window, while displaying a handgun. The employee ran away from the window, and the alleged suspect drove away without any cash. Police say they received a call around the same time of a stolen vehicle from the Kwik Fill gas station up the road from McDonalds. Authorities aren't sure if the two are connected, and are asking the public with information to call Detective Chris Coopper at 255-4706.
