At Auburn City Hall tonight, the City Council will vote on creating a regional water and sewer authority. The Greater Auburn Regional Sewer and Water Authority has been shot down by the Council in the past, with Councilors feeling Auburn would get the short end of the stick if the authority is created in its current form. The Auburn Citizen reports there's also concern of the city handing over equipment to the authority free of charge. The council has agreed on a counter offer, where Auburn would have three seats in the authority instead of one in the original version. The vote will take place during tonight's meeting, which begins at 6.
