Bass Pro Shops has announced that it has reached an agreement to open a new store in Utica.
According to Syracuse.com, the 65,000-square foot store will be located in the Riverside Center at the intersection of I-90 and Route 5 and is scheduled to open by the end of this year.
This will be the second Bass Pro Shops store in the state. The first one, located in the Fingerlakes Mall in Aurelius, opened in June 2004 and has 84,000 square feet of store space. Another store was proposed in Buffalo, but that deal fell through.
Katie Mitchell, a Bass Pro Shops spokesperson, said the Utica store will employ “anywhere from 250 to 300” employees.
