A 46-year-old Auburn man is sitting in jail. Police say William Strecker was arrested around 2:30 this morning after entering a second story apartment on Washington Street. Strecker was charged with 2nd degree criminal trespassing, 4th degree criminal mischief, and 7th degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Police say Strecker has a history of assault. He's in jail now pending arraignment.
