Three More Inergy Trespassers Appear in Court

Three new defendants appeared Wednesday night in Town of Reading courtroom to answer charges of trespassing on Inergy Corporation's property approximately 2 miles north of Watkins Glen.

Katrina Anderson of Ithaca and Crow Marley of Hector pled guilty to trespassing and were fined.  The third defendant, Nathan Miller of Ithaca, had his appearance continued to May 1st, pending a review of the case. 

The next three defendants to face the court on April, 17th at 7 PM are Dr. Sandra Steingraber, well known author, biologist and  activist opposed to the Inergy proposal and hydrofracking, Michael Dineen, of Ovid  and Melissa Chipman of Hector, both active in resisting Inergy's local proposals.

12 people were arrested March 18th and charged with trespass for blocking a gate at an Inergy facility. Two weeks ago, three of those individuals arrested pled guilty to similar charges.
