Susan R. Nedza has been appointed as principal of St. Joseph School in Auburn, effective
July 1, 2013. She will succeed Kathleen Coye.
Nedza has served since 2008 as Director of Guidance and Counselor at Bishop Grimes
Junior-Senior High School in East Syracuse, New York. Prior to that position, she served
as a school counselor in the Otter Valley Union High School in Brandon, Vermont, as well
as a counselor at Fulton Junior High School in Fulton, New York. Nedza has extensive
experience in building administration and strategic planning.
Nedza received a master’s degree and certification in educational administration (school district and buildings) from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. Prior to that, she received a master’s degree and certification in school counseling from SUNY Oswego, as well as a bachelor’s degree in psychology from SUNY Oswego.
“The most rewarding part of my time in Catholic Schools has been the children and families I work
with daily,” Nedza said. “I know in every part of me that Catholic Schools are the best practice for
education and give students an invaluable start in life. I am looking forward to continuing the proud tradition of excellence at St. Joseph’s School in Auburn.”
