Deliberations will continue this morning in the murder trial of Alice Trappler. The jury began deliberating early Tuesday afternoon following Schuyler County District Attorney Joseph Fazzary's closing arguments.
The 41 year old Addison woman is charged with two counts of second-degree murder and single counts of first-degree burglary, second-degree burglary and second-degree conspiracy. If convicted, she faces 25 years to life in prison.
Trappler is accused of enlisting her former husband to kill 30-year-old Daniel Bennett, with whom Trappler had a young daughter. The couple split before Trappler gave birth. Trappler’s ex-husband, Thomas Borden, shot and killed Bennett during the overnight hours of April 19, 2012, at the Town of Dix home Bennett shared with his father.
Deliberations will resume at 9:30
