Events Center Would Not Compete with Private Business

Geneva City Manager Matt Horn says the events center under construction on the Seneca Lakefront is not meant to compete with private function rooms.  He says the City Council sees it as a complement to those private businesses.

Horn says he's studying similar venues to determine how to make sure the events center can be run at no net cost to the city.

The building will also include a visitors center.  The Council will discuss a plan to manage the center at its next meeting next Wednesday.  Horn was a guest on the Finger Lakes Morning News.
