Bike Patrol to Begin in August for Canandaigua

You'll be seeing a bike patrol riding through downtown Canandaigua soon.  Canandaigua City Council passed an ordinance that will allow law enforcement to have a city bike patrol that can legally ride a bicycyle on sidewalks through downtown while on duty.  The current law prohibits the use of bicycles, skateboards, and scooters from being on the sidewalk in the downtown business district.  The new ordinance takes effect in August.
