Sheriff's Departments Getting New Boats

Four local Sheriff's Departments are getting patrol boats, thanks to a US Coast Guard grant.  The Brunswick Justice patrol boats, which cost between 60 and 115 thousand dollars each, are going to the Schuyler, Seneca, Wayne and Yates County Sheriff's Departments, as well as to five other agencies throughout the state.  Monroe County Sheriff Patrick O'Flynn, president of the New York State Sheriff's Association, says the boats will mean safer waters for recreational boaters.
