Waterloo Rotarian Named District Governor

A Waterloo Rotarian has been named District Governor.

Ellen Hughes has been a Rotarian for 18 years.  She becomes the third woman named to lead District 7120, which includes 68 clubs from the Lake Ontario shoreline to the Southern Tier.

Hughes has been Waterloo Rotary President twice and has earned the prestigious Paul Harris Fellowship six times.  Hughes says among her goals is to increase contributions to Rotary Foundation, and SHARE, the annual program fund.

Hughes taught Spanish for 26 years at Waterloo High School.

Waterloo Rotary meets at 6:30 p.m. every Monday at Waterloo Holiday Inn.
