Time Warner Cable customers will be dishing out more money to browse the web. Leasing a modem is jumping to $5.99, up from $3.95. Company officials say customers who do not have a promotional plan will see the increase August 9th. Time Warner could see a a profit of roughly 150 million dollars this year with the higher fees. If you're a Time Warner Cable customer and do not want to pay more for surfing the web, you can buy a modem that's compatible with Time Warner Cable.
