Traffic Projects on Thruway Stopped for Labor Day Weekend

Most construction projects on the Thruway will be suspended this weekend. Governor Andrew Cuomo says his "Drivers' First" initative gives drivers a priority over construction projects, and makes sure that any disruptions to the flow of traffic are kept at a minimum. Millions of vehicles are expected to travel the Thruway during Labor Day weekend. Because of the anticipated congestion on the Thruway, drivers are being told to plan for heavy traffic at times durng the holiday weekend.
