Pit Boss Helps Raise Money For Seneca County Dog Rescue Group

98.5 FM WNYR morning host Jim Schreck welcomed the star of animal planet's reality TV show Pit Boss to Seneca County Monday night.

Shorty Rossi and his service dog Hercules were at Second Chance Dog Rescue on Stone Church Road off Route 318 in Waterloo (halfway between Thruway exit 41 and 42).

Folks lined up to have there picture taken with Shorty and Hercules for a $10 donation, proceeds to benefit Second Chance Dog Rescue.

Shorty Rossi, an ex-con and talent manager of Shortywood Productions, developed a passion for pit bulls when he was a teenager. Because of this, he created "Shorty's Rescue." Its main purpose: to rescue and rehabilitate pit bulls, the most misunderstood breed of dogs in the Greater Los Angeles area. The series aired on Animal Planet from January 2010 to March 2013.
