Business owners in downtown Auburn can breathe a little easier. Part of a resolution that would have extended parking hours downtown to nine o'clock, six nights a week, was removed Thursday night. The Auburn City Council voted unanimously to take out that part, which was met with a torrent of criticism. After the vote, Finger Lakes News Radio caught up with Connie Reilley from the Downtown Auburn BID, who collected hundreds of signatures in opposition to the resolution. Reilley says she's pleased with the decision.
Reilley suggested forming a committee of downtown business owners to come up with solutions.

The council meets every Thursday night at six o'clock at City Hall in Auburn.
