Yates, Schuyler Sheriff's to Take Part in RX Takeback Event

The Yates County Sheriff's Department is once again teaming up with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency to participate in this weekend's "Prescription Drug Take Back Day" that will be held at the rear of the county courthouse in Penn Yan.  Sheriff Ron Spike says its a day set a side for residents to get rid of unwanted prescription drugs for free and with no questions asked.

Spike says there's so many positives when it comes to getting rid of unused prescription drugs for the community.

In Schuyler County, unwanted and expired medications will be collected at the Odessa Fire Department on State Route 224 and the Tyrone Fire Department on State Route 226. Saturday's "take back" is from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
