Nobody is sick so far, but Resers Fine Foods, a major U.S. food manufacturer, has recalled over 100 different products that may be contaminated with a bacteria that's more deadly than Salmonella and Botulism. It's the food borne pathogen listeria monocytogenes that's causing all the trouble for Resers.
The recall involves ready-to-eat, refrigerated foods made at the company's Topeka, Kansas facility. Stores in the U.S. and Canada are affected by the recall; locally, Wegman's in Canandaigua confirmed that Resers ready-to-eat potato salad and cole slaw were pulled from the shelf.
