Final 3 of Seneca 12 Appear in Court

The remaining three members of the Seneca 12 appeared in Reading Town Court last night to answer trespassing charges.

Spike Jones of Belfast, Margie Rodgers of Elmira and Jim Bora of Hector all pled guilty and each paid a fine of 3-HUNDRED, 75 dollars. A collection of money from the community paid for all 3 fines. The trio was arrested with nine other people on March 18 for trespassing when they blocked the entrance to an Inergy natural gas facility on State Route 14 in Reading, north of Watkins Glen.

The case of Nate Miller was continued for two weeks. Miller was arrested with the group but claims he was there only as a legal observer and didn't trespass.

This morning, Jeremy Alderson is back in court for trespassing at the same site. He was arrested in September and pleaded not guilty.
