Laura Grayce Barber CANANDAIGUA - Laura Grayce Barber passed away peacefully, April 2, 2013, after an extended stay at Strong Memorial Hospital. She is survived by her parents, Dan and Lisa Barber; and her sister, Katie, all of Canandaigua. Laura was born on Feb. 6, 1988. She attended Canandaigua Academy and was a member of the class of 2006. Laura was a spinal cord injury survivor and lived her life to the best of her capabilities. Her determination and spirit allowed her to make every day count. She was extremely supportive of animal rights causes and had several pets of her own. Her animals brought her much comfort and joy. She was an avid baseball fan and followed her beloved Boston Red Sox faithfully, having the opportunity to attend several games at Fenway Park. Her Aunt Kris spent many of her last days by her side, washing her hair, doing her nails and staying up all night talking and making plans for her return home. She was at Laura's bedside along with her parents and sister when Laura left this world. Laura's life ended far too soon, but she will forever be in the hearts who knew her. A memorial celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, April 7, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Granger Homestead, 295 N. Main St., Canandaigua, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Farm Sanctuary, 3150 Aikens Road, Watkins Glen, NY 14891; or Lollypop Farm, 99 Victory Road, Fairport, NY 14450. Arrangements are by Johnson-Kennedy Funeral Home Inc., Canandaigua. Condolences may be offered at
