Geneva - Amelia (Amy) A. Stamer (Andose), age 80, died on Tuesday (August 13, 2013) at Rochester General Hospital. At her request there will be no prior calling hours. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday (August 17) at 10:00 a.m. at St. Stephen's Roman Catholic Church, 48 Pulteney St., Geneva. Interment will be at Sand Hill Cemetery after the service. A celebration of Amy's life will be held after the interment at Geneva on the Lake from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
Amy was born August 10, 1933 in Philadelphia, PA, the daughter of the late David Andose and Antonietta Andose. Amy was a graduate of Rosemont College, majoring in Chemistry and minoring in Math. She was also a graduate of Community College of the Finger Lakes with a degree in Accounting. She worked as a bookkeeper for the Geneva City School District from 1982 until her retirement in 1991. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, John, showtunes, and was an avid reader.
She is survived by her son Mark of East Rochester, N.Y. and her daughter Anne of Springfield, Penn., and brother, Joseph Andose (Jeannette) of Cranbury, N.J.
Amy was predeceased by her son Richard in 2010 and her husband John in March 2013.
