STANLEY- King A. Rippey, 83, of Old Mill Road, died Saturday, (June 7, 2014) in Canandaigua, NY.
Friends may call Wednesday (June 11) from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the Kenneth J. Perkins Funeral Home in Gorham. A Funeral Service will follow at 2 p.m. The Rev. Kate Benton of the Gorham United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Sand Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Rippey was born April 13, 1931 in Geneva, the son of the late King and Elizabeth Washburn Rippey. He served with the U.S. Air Force from 1950 thru 1954, during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Rippey was employed at Mobil Chemical in Canandaigua for 27 years, retiring in 1992. He was a member of the Gorham United Methodist Church.
He is survived by one daughter, Diane Bootes and her husband, David, of Potter; two sons, Greg Rippey and his wife, Mary, of Stanley, and Steven Rippey and his wife, Gail, of Middlesex; six grandchildren, Mike (Mandy) Bootes, Mark Bootes, Steven (Kim) Rippey, Angela (Mike) Lincoln, Wesley (Katie) Rippey, and Sara (Scott) Cassidy; nine great-grandchildren, Caleb and Chloe Bootes, Alexis, Ashlyn, Aiden and Corbin Rippey, Benjamin and Benton Lincoln, and Josh Rice; his brother, Alan (Dortha) Nester of Geneva.
Mr. Rippey was predeceased by his wife, Anita Davie Rippey in 2010, a son, David, in 1971, and a sister, Margaret "Peg" Achilles in 1994.
