CLYDE - Laura J. Carr, 84, passed away on Wednesday (January 4, 2017) at her home in Clyde.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday (January 6) at the Baris Funeral Home, 87 West Genesee Street, Clyde. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday (January 7) at the United Methodist Church, 84 Sodus Street, in Clyde. Burial will be in Maplegrove Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to the Wayne County Humane Society, 1475 County House Rd., Lyons, NY 14489.
Laura was born the daughter of Gerald and Gertrude Moshier Farrar, on December 20, 1934, in Poland, New York. She retired from Thomas Electronics where she worked in Quality Control.
Laura is survived by her two sons Galvin "Dutch" (Sandy) Carr III, of Phelps and Roger (Kandee Conover) Carr, of Cicero; a daughter, Brenda (Tony Phillips) Carr, of Lyons; six grandchildren Galvin "Kip" Carr IV, Melissa Lainhart, Derrick Miranda, Laura Phillips, Alyssa Carr and Greg Carr; 13 great-grandchildren; a brother, Ted (Patty) Hall, of Penfield; a sister, Marcia (Donald) Snyder, of Clyde.
Mrs. Carr was predeceased by her husband, Galvin Carr, Jr., in 1996; a brother, Charles Green and a great-granddaughter Taylor King-Carr.
