RED CREEK | Bertha M. LaDue, 89, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at Newark Wayne Community Hospital. Berkie was born Sept. 5, 1922 in Red Creek, a daughter to Merwin and Gertrude Wright Fisher. She was a member of Rose Oasis and the Victory and Savannah Seniors. She is survived by her son, Kenneth Jr., of Red Creek; three daughters, Jean (Duane) Parsons, of Florida, Judy Blaisdell, of North Rose, and Joyce Chatfield, of North Rose; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; four brothers, Kenneth, Roy "John," James Sr., and Chester; two sisters, Lois Bentley and Norma Jean Acome; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Sr. in 1988; and seven siblings, Harold "Mutt," Elroy, Leonard, Elliott, Alta Shippers, Shirley Ross and Betty Jane Bowen. Family and friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 22, at Becker-Keysor Funeral Home, 6816 Church St., Red Creek, where a funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. Burial will be in Springbrook Cemetery, Sterling. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Red Creek Presbyterian Church in her memory.
