Roger A. Telarico

GENEVA - Roger A. Telarico, 71, of 8169 Oak Moss Cove, Cordova, Tenn., formerly of Geneva, passed away on Wednesday, April 18, 2012, in Germantown Methodist Hospital with his family by his side.
There will be no prior calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:30 a.m. on Monday (April 30) at St. Francis de Sales Church Geneva. Burial with full military honors will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Phelps, N.Y.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Lady of Peace Parish, 130 Exchange St., Geneva, N.Y. 14456 or to a charity of one's choice .
Roger was born on November 2, 1940, in Clifton Springs, the son of the late Andrew and Maude Telarico. He was a graduate of Geneva High School, class of 1959 and Freeman Business School. He served his country in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. Roger started his banking career at the Lincoln Rochester Office in Geneva, later transferred to the Corning Office. After leaving the Lincoln Rochester Bank, he later joined the Horizon Bank in Waterloo. He was later promoted to the Canandaigua Office. After leaving the area in 1991, Roger began employment with Imperial Security Service as their Security Officer in Memphis, Tenn. He served on several boards and organizations, including the cancer society, Holy Name Society of St. Francis de Sales Church. He was a former member of the Geneva Jaycees, the Lions Club, chairman of the Boy Scouts of America, Geneva Area Community Chest, Young Republicans Committee, YMCA Fund Drive, Seneca Castle Volunteer Fire Department, Seneca Lake Waterways Association, Kiwanis Club and Ducks Unlimited. Roger loved to play golf, was a huge fan of the NY Giants, N.Y. Yankees and enjoyed watching NASCAR.
He is survived by his wife Carol; daughter Nikki Telarico of Buffalo, N.Y.; sons, Randy (Sherry) Telarico of Boulder Colo.; Cory (Karen) Telarico of Oneonta, N.Y., Tad (Kathie) Telarico of Charlotte, N.C.; brother, Ronald (Patricia) Telarico of Geneva; sisters, Kathryn (Donald ) Ward, Patricia (Richard) King all of Geneva; grandchildren, Audrey Pilotte, Jessica Pilotte, Mia Telarico, Jack Telarico, Zachary Meeks, Jennifer Zawisza, Erik Zawisza, Aleks Zawisza; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. And his great love of his dog Toby.
He was predeceased by parents and his stepson Joseph Rose.
