LYONS/CLYDE - Janice "Gale" Cooper, 72, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother entered into the house of the Lord on Wednesday, April 25, 2012. She passed away at Highland Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
A memorial service will be held Saturday (May 5) at 11 a.m. at Lyons United Methodist Church, Williams St., Lyons. A reception will follow at church.
Gale's family request donations be made to Clyde Ambulance , PO Box 145, Clyde, N.Y. 14433 or to Lyons United Methodist Church in her memory.
Gale was born July 21, 1939, in Arista, W. Va. She married Wallace Cooper on August 10, 1957. She was a member of the Lyons United Methodist Church for 31 years, a member and past Matron of Order of the Easter Star # 466 for over 40 years, a sales person for Friendly Toys for 46 years, Home Interiors for 15 years, has spent 10 years in the catering business and 15 years with making wedding cakes. She was also a Family Care Home Provider for 22 years.
She is survived by her husband Wallace Cooper, Sr.; children, Wallace (Ronette) Cooper of Phelps, Debra (Edward) Compson of Clyde, William Cooper of Clyde, Belinda (Brian) Driscoll of Port Gibson and Tina Cooper of Clyde; 18 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; three brothers; three sisters; daughter-in-law; Susan Cooper of Geneva; several nieces and nephews and very dear friends.
She was predeceased by her son, Michal Cooper, daughter-in-law, Patricia (Schetrompf) Cooper and granddaughter, Patricia Cooper.
