LYONS - Dorothy L. Garlic, 85, passed away Sunday (April 29, 2012) at Wayne County Nursing Home.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, May 20, at 1:30 p.m. at Lyons United Methodist Church, William St., Lyons. Burial will be in South Lyons Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lyons United Methodist Church in Dorothy's memory.
Dorothy was born April 8, 1927, in Holley, a daughter to Michael A. and Nellie Gaylard Strong. She retired from Lyons Central School in 1989. Dorothy was a 50 year member of Lyons United Methodist Church.
She is survived by one brother, Michael (Beatrice) Strong of Penn.; one sister, Janet (William) Burritt of Newark; and several nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Frank in 2011.
Arrangements are entrusted to Weeks-Keysor Funeral Home, Lyons.
