JONESBOROUGH - Mr. Carl Clayton McCurry, 65, Jonesborough, passed away Monday (April 30, 2012) at the Johnson City Medical Center.
Funeral services will be conducted 8 p.m. Wednesday (May 2) at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with the Rev. Phillip Rogers officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday prior to the service. Interment services will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday, (May 3) at Washington County Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be John Lewis, Mike McCurry, Larry McCurry, Oliver Hilton, Joe Ferguson and Carter Everhart.
Mr. McCurry was a native of Washington County and son of the late Mart S. & Lottie Holt McCurry. He was a member of the Moose Club. Mr. McCurry was owner and operator of McCurry Transport. In addition to his parents, Mr. McCurry was also preceded in death by a daughter, Michelle Millard; and two brothers, Jessie L. McCurry and Roy McCurry.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Marie Herandes McCurry, Jonesborough; daughter, Donna Marie Millard; three sons; and daughters-in-law, David & Rebecca McCurry, Chuckey, Carl Jr. & Crystal McCurry and Clifton McCurry, all of Telford; thirteen grandchildren; brothers, Sylvester McCurry, Limestone, Kenneth McCurry, Jonesborough and Claude McCurry, Limestone; sisters, Ruby Sauls, Telford, Kate Dykes, Jonesborough and Betty McKeehan, Kingsport; and several nephews and nieces.
