Norm was born the son of E. Claude and Nellie (Case) Fitch on September 15, 1938, in Newark. He graduated from Newark High School in 1956. Norm worked all his life in sales, traveling all over N.Y. and Penn. He was a member of Newark Elks Lodge and the Newark-Arcadia Historical Society. He was an avid reader, which included books on Abraham Lincoln who he greatly admired. The L.A. Dodgers, Notre Dame and the Cleveland Browns were his teams. Mornings you could find Norm at Tim Horton's with his buddies, solving the world's problems. But above all, spending time with his family and friends was his greatest joy. The funeral home proudly flies the Army flag in honor of Norm's service to our country.
Norm will be remembered by his loving wife of 42 years Connie (Robbins) Fitch; sons Jason and Jonathan Fitch both of N.C.; sisters, Sharon (Lawrence) Allen and Phyllis Harder; uncle, Don Case of Oswego; aunt, Eddie Ryan; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Norm also will be greatly missed by his many friends.
Norm was predeceased by his father E. Claude in 1963, his mother Nellie in 2005 and brothers Roger and Ronald Fitch.
