AUBURN - Marie Moracco Morfei, 95 of Delevan Ave., Auburn passed away peacefully Friday morning (July 6,2012) at Auburn Community Hospital.
Friends and relatives are invited to join the family Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Hyacinth's Church for Marie's Mass of Christian burial with the Rev. Michael Conboy as celebrant. Entombment will be in St. Joseph's Mausoleum. Calling hours are Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Pettigrass Funeral Home, 196 Genesee St.,Auburn.
She was born on Novermber 11, 1916 in Geneva ,N.Y. the daughter of the late Antonio and Marianna Moracco and had been an area resident for most of her life. Marie was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church and a former member of NARFE (National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association). Prior to her retirement, Marie had been employed for more than 30 years by the Seneca Army Depot in Romulus,N.Y.. She wan an avid bowler in her earlier years.
She is survived by a sister Marian Moracco of Geneva; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Marie was predeceased by her husband Michael in 1985 and several siblings.
