FARMINGTON - Nelson L. Allen Jr. passed away on Sunday, July 8, 2012, at age 76. He was predeceased by his parents, Margaret and Nelson Allen Sr. Nelson is survived by his wife, Doreen; sisters, Myrna (Roger) Volker and Carol Fox; brother, William (Mary) Allen; longtime working companion and caregiver, Randy DeRue; and nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call on Friday afternoon from 1 until 2 o'clock at Lucey-VanVoorhis Funeral Home, 301 W. Main St., Victor. A celebration of Nelson's life will immediately follow the calling.
