Geneva/Phelps - John F. "Jay Jay" Pollino 73, passed away Monday (July 9, 2012) at home.
Family and friends may call on Friday (July 13) from 3 to 6 p.m. at the McGuigan & Bero Funeral Home. The Moose Lodge will meet at the funeral home for a prayer service at 5:30 pm. Funeral services will be held following calling hours at 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

Jay Jay was born July 22, 1938, in Geneva, the son of the late John L. and Frances Farsace Pollino. He attended Geneva schools and retired from the New York State Agricultural Experiment Station in Geneva after 22 years. He was a member of Finger Lakes Moose Lodge # 823 and enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and loved to camp.
He is survived by his loving wife of 25 yrs. Josephine Zello Pollino; a daughter, Susan ( Corey) Bailey of Va.; Several grandchildren; a great granddaughter Makenzie Pollino; sisters, Mary ( Mike) Evan of Va., Connie Kerr of Geneva, and Patricia (Steve) Dragos of Md.; a brother Robert (Peggi) Pollino of Geneva; mother-in-law AlaDean Zello of Geneva; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews; and his loving pet Peanut.
He was predeceased by a brother-in-law Al Kerr in 2009.
