Lyle C. Preston Sr. a/k/a Chief CANANDAIGUA - Lyle Preston, 79, died at Rochester General Hospital on July 16, 2012, after a battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife, June; children, Mary Ann (Hank) Trickey, Sharon Melville Moore (Mitch) Moore, Doug (Kathy) Preston, Kathy (Ed) Walsh and Lyle (LeAnne) Preston Jr.; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Marie (Leo) Zeh and Geraldine (Gip) Gibson; brother, Eben Preston; brother-in-law, Lavaine Keeler; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Dorothy Keeler; and grandson, Christopher Preston. Lyle was an Eastman Kodak retiree who enjoyed spending time with his family and dogs Danny and Penny and tending to his flowers. Friends may call at Fuller Funeral Home Inc., 190 Buffalo St., Canandaigua, on Thursday, July 19, from 5 to 8 p.m. An 11 a.m. funeral service will be held on Friday, July 20, at the funeral home.
