AUBURN | William C. Dove, 83, former owner and proprietor of Auburn's Springside Inn died Wednesday July 18, 2012 at Auburn Community Hospital. Born in Auburn on June 16, 1929, Bill was the son of Arthur and Ella Cottle Dove. He was a graduate of Skaneateles Central High School, and years ago was employed by Krebs Restaurant and New York Telephone. He loved living on Owasco Lake and enjoyed boating, traveling, music and theater. Bill is survived by his three daughters, Jennifer Dove with Harry Brate, Lois Porten and her husband Gary “Chris,� Melissia Eberhardt and her husband “Abe,� all of Auburn; a son, William Dove of Colorado; two step-daughters, Laurie Piccolo and her husband Rick, and Beth Lattimore and her husband Sean; four grandchildren, Wesly Brate and Erica Eberhardt, and Virginia and Christopher Porten; two step-grandchildren, Sydney and Sean Lattimore Jr. Bill was predeceased by his first wife, Barbara Miller Dove, and his second wife, Judith Lares Dove. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. in White Chapel Funeral Home 197 South St. Auburn. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Fleming. Friends are invited to call on the family from 4-7 p.m. Sunday at White Chapel.
