AUBURN | Adelaide R. Fitzpatrick, 97, of Boyle Center, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012. Mrs. Fitzpatrick was born in Auburn on Jan. 19, 1915. She was the daughter of the late Harry J. and Alida Rice. Adelaide graduated from business school and worked as a secretary at the Boyle and Anderson law firm. She was a communicant of St. Alphonsus Church and was a volunteer with Meals on Wheels for many years. Adelaide enjoyed line dancing, spending her winters in Florida and loved to travel, especially with her late husband Francis “Frank� Fitzpatrick who predeceased her in 1982. She is survived by her brother, David Rice, of Auburn and many beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and their families. In addition to her husband Frank, Adelaide was predeceased by her siblings, Ruth Gosling, Harry Rice, William Rice and Theresa Rusinko. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 14 in St. Alphonsus Church with the burial at St. Joseph's Cemetery. Friends may visit with her family from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 13 at the White Chapel Funeral Home Inc, 197 South St., Auburn. A special thank you to Adelaide's caregivers.
