Angelo Michael Tamburrino

SENECA FALLS | Angelo Michael Tamburrino, 84, formerly of Bridge Street, Seneca Falls, died Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012, at Huntington Living Center, in Waterloo. Angelo was born in Seneca Falls, on April 27, 1928, the son of the late Cataldo and Paola Carmella Massaro Tamburrino. He had resided in Seneca Falls for most of his life, living 19 years in Auburn. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army. He was retired from the former Seneca Army Depot, in Romulus, and had been employed by the former Sylvania Electric of Seneca Falls. He was a member of St. Patrick's Church, Seneca Falls, the Kirk-Casey Post #366 American Legion, Seneca Falls, and the United Steelworkers Union. Angelo enjoyed music, especially opera and he loved to travel. He was an avid walker who could be seen every day on his three-mile walk through Seneca Falls. Most of all, Angelo was a real family man who enjoyed just being around all his family. He is survived by his wife, Madeline Thurston Tamburrino, of Seneca Falls, whom he married on March 11, 1950; one daughter, Jeannie (Frank) Henderson, of Auburn and Abingdon, Va.; three sons, Daniel (Judy) Tamburrino, of Auburn, Richard (Patricia) Tamburrino, of Auburn and Robert Tamburrino, of Auburn; 10 grandchildren, Zachary and Aaron (Patricia) Tamburrino, Stacy (Michael) DeForrest, Julie (Sam) White, Robert Tamburrino Jr., Jennifer (James) Dadabbo, Victoria Tamburrino, Michael Tamburrino, Candace Henderson, and Collin Henderson; 10 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Angelo was predeceased by one sister; Rose Trotta and two brothers; Frank and Vito Tamburrino. Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, at the Doran Funeral Home, 4 E. Bayard St., Seneca Falls. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 2, at St. Patrick's Church, Seneca Falls, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. James Fennessy, pastor. Burial will follow in St. Columbkille Cemetery, Seneca Falls. The Kirk-Casey Post #366 American Legion will conduct military honors at the funeral home at 7 p.m. Thursday.
