PHELPS / MANCHESTER - Michael S. Lord, 62, died unexpectedly on Saturday (November 3, 2012) at his home.
Friends may call Monday (November 5) from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Cheney Funeral Home, 70 Main Street in Phelps. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery.
It is suggested that memorial donations be made to the Sons of the American Legion, Route 96, Phelps,14532.
Mike was born on August 16, 1950 in Geneva, the son of the late Walter Joseph and Jean Louise Foster Lord. He attended Phelps Central Schools. Mike worked for Pooler Enterprises. He was an avid outdoorsman. He loved hunting and fishing on his bass boat with his friends. He had a penchant for cars and trucks and was a fan of car racing. Mike was a member of the Buckhorn Sportsman's Club and the Phelps Sons of the American Legion. Mike toasted life, and he will be missed by many.
Mike is survived by his partner, Patricia Carlson and mans best friend Cocoa; brother, David (Debra) Lord and nephew Joseph Lord; sister, Nancy (Gerry Barker) Lord; daughters, Jennifer, Kelly and Jessica; Pat's children John, Timothy and Eric Woznick and Christine (Bill) Taylor, their children William and Shelby; many extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Paul; and sister, Sandy.
