Janet Ranger Tardiff

SKANEATELES | Janet Ranger Tardiff, died Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012, at St. Joseph's hospital after a brief illness. She was born in Fairfield, Maine and lived in Boston and Syracuse, before moving to Skaneateles in 1954. Her appreciation of this beautiful town led her to a long and successful career in real estate convincing others that they too would love living in the Finger Lakes. She and her business partner, Grace Snook owned Williams Realty for more than 40 years. She also enjoyed volunteering for the Skaneateles Historical Society and taking winter trips to Key West, Fla. She is survived by her longtime companion, Bruce Keller; her brother, Orville (Tex) Ranger and his wife, Sue, of Brunswick, Maine; daughter, Susan Weekley (Jimmy) of Key West, Fla.; sons Alan Tardiff (Patty), of Avon by the Sea, N.J. and Paul Tardiff (Chris), of Skaneateles and her grandchildren, Dakin Weekley, Joe Tardiff, Michaela Tardiff, Alyssa Tardiff and Erica Tardiff. She is also survived by nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the nursing staff at St. Joseph's Hospital for their tremendous care and compassion. Services are private.
